Veteran indie developer Simutronics announces free-to-play dragon combat game, beta signups now open
ST. LOUIS, Mo. – August 28, 2013 – Simutronics, creators of popular games for nearly three decades, today announced Dragons of Elanthia, an online multiplayer aerial combat game with everyone's favorite mythical beast: Dragons! Featuring competitive, arena-style gameplay, Dragons of Elanthia will launch for free on PC later this year.
In Dragons of Elanthia, players choose an elite dragon rider and mount, each with three unique abilities, and fly into massive battles in richly detailed environments. Together with a squadron of teammates, players use a range of tactics to defeat the opposition in intense, fast-paced combat. As players gain experience, their dragon and rider abilities become more powerful. Simutronics will continually expand the roster of both dragons and riders, enabling a myriad of combinations to suit every play style and provide endless replay value.
"We've wanted to craft a dragon-based flight combat game for years, and now the technology has finally caught up to our vision so that we can make Dragons of Elanthia a reality," said David Whatley, president and CEO of Simutronics. "We've paid especially close attention to every aspect of gameplay, including detailed dragon flight physics and an innovative skill combination system, to make this an exciting and challenging game for all skill levels."

Simutronics will also be showing the game at this year's PAX Prime in Seattle. Look for us in the Indie MEGABOOTH, on Friday August 30 and Saturday August 31.
